Donald E. Pyles, 80, of Decatur passed away Thursday March 29, 2012 at Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, IL.

Graveside services to celebrate Donald’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery in Decatur with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard, family and friends are to gather at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. for procession to cemetery.  Visitation for Donald will be Monday April 2, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home.

Donald was born on May 8, 1931 in rural Heman, IL, the son of Ohlie E. and Gale V. Emrick Pyle. Donald married Connie Kuntzi, he then married Mary C. Wayne on October 12, 1972 and she preceded him in death on May 15, 1984. Donald was a veteran of the Air Force serving in the Korean War and was self employed in office machine repairs and supplies.

Donald is survived by his children: Gregory Pyles and wife Tina of Findlay, Dawn Annette Pyles of Decatur, Dennis O. Pyles and wife Nancy of Monroeville, PA, Mark A. Pyles and wife Kristina of Decatur, Jerry W. Pyles of Decatur and Chris E. Pyles and wife Victoria of Decatur; grandchildren: Brandon and wife Bonnie of Trafford, PA, Ben (Benjamin) of Houston, TX, Bethany, Jeremy, Kari Moore and husband Jason, Andrea, Aron, Britney, Elizabeth, Cailon, Paige, Alivia and Anna; great grandchildren J. T. and Peyton; sisters: Connie Westbrook of Harristown and Bonnie Keown of Findlay; brother Thomas Pyles of Decatur.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, two brothers Robert and Russell.
